IKF Flood Relief 2015

In the wake of devastating floods recently across various parts of the country. Imran Khan Foundation is actively involved in flood relief activities on instructions of Mr. Imran Khan and the Board of Directors. A rapid assessment was conducted to determine the magnitude & severity of the floods as well as the need for emergency food relief items and temporary shelters.
As a first phase after assessment, Imran Khan Foundation have been able to identify an immediate need for the provision of emergency relief packages in different parts of Chitral, Mianwali, Khairpur and Badin.
A total budget of Rs. 40 million has been approved, of which much has already been spent on relief activities in Chitral, Mianwali, Badin and Khairpur.
A holistic plan has been implemented through which hundreds of families have been provided with custom-made tents to offer them accommodation, nearly 4000 families have been provided with food supplies. Furthermore, additional basic medicines are also being provided.
Areas covered include Chitral, Khairpur, Badin and Mianwali. The food hampers include necessary food items including Attaa (Flour), Sugar, Pulses, Tea, Milk, Cooking Oil etc.
IKF flood relief team is on constant move in the flood effected areas for assessment & reaching out to people for relief activates as large parts of these areas still remain inundated in waters.
