200,000 Lives Positively Impacted through IKF’s IDPs Support Program

09 Jul, 2015

Imran Khan Foundation has successfully completed its IDPs Support Program in Bannu, KPK. This coincides with the process where Pakistan Army has started a comprehensive multi-staged program to relocate the IDPs back to their homes in North Waziristan.

During the course of the IDPs program initiated in July 2014, IKF provided 6000 IDP families with temporary accommodation (winterized tents), 130,000 patients with basic health-care, 1500 students with elementary education and provision of safe drinking water in all IDP camps (40 community water points). Furthermore, warm clothes, quilts and relief packages were distributed from time to time among the affected communities.

We at the Foundation fully understand that nothing could have compensated for the warmth of their homes that these people left behind. However, with the help of our board members, donors, partners and friends; we did our best to lessen the hardships of these resilient people.

May the IDPs find peace and prosperity back home.
